Oregon became the first U.S. state to legalize supervised psilocybin services when voters passed Measure 109 in 2020. The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) began licensing service centers, facilitators, manufacturers, and testing labs in 2023. Adults 21+ can legally consume psilocybin at a licensed service center under the guidance of a trained facilitator — no medical diagnosis or referral required.

A full Oregon psilocybin experience typically includes a preparation session, an administration (dosing) session lasting several hours, and an integration session afterward. Prices vary widely — expect anywhere from $500 for a low-dose group session to $3,000+ for a private high-dose experience. Psilocybin is not covered by insurance, and personal possession outside a service center remains illegal.
